Obligatory, but important transparency information

What I collect

When you sign up for updates or Noticings: your first name, your email address, and which lists you chose.

When you book and pay for a session: your name, email and billing details. Payments are processed by Stripe. I never see or store your full card number.

When you fill in an intake form or work with me: what you choose to share about your work, goals and background, plus my session notes. If a session is recorded, the recording is shared with you and kept as described below.

When you register for an event: your name, email and anything you add to the registration form.

When you browse the site: standard, anonymous information like pages visited, browser type and general location, collected through Squarespace's built-in analytics and cookies.

How I use it

• To deliver what you booked: scheduling, sessions, notes, recordings and follow-ups.

• To send emails you asked for: updates about events and offers, or Noticings essays.

• To send emails about something you booked or signed up for, like confirmations, reminders and check-ins.

• To understand how the site is used, so I can make it better.

• To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.

I don't sell, rent or trade your information. Ever.

The tools I use

A few trusted services help me run Verve. They only get what they need to do their job:

• Squarespace: website, forms, analytics and email updates

• Stripe: payments

• Substack: Noticings

• Zoom: sessions and practice groups

• Calendly: booking sessions

• Google Workspace: email and files

Each has its own privacy policy, and some may store data outside your country.

Your client work stays private

What you share in our sessions is confidential. I won't share your intake answers, notes, recordings or drafts with anyone without your permission. I won't use your words or story publicly, including as a testimonial, unless you say yes.

Emails and unsubscribing

You'll only get marketing emails if you opt in. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can also just reply and tell me. Emails about something you booked (like your session confirmation) aren't marketing and will still come through.

How long I keep things

• Email list details: until you unsubscribe.

• Client information, notes and recordings: for [2 years] after we finish working together, so I can help if you come back, then deleted. Ask me anytime to delete them sooner.

• Payment and invoice records: as long as tax law requires.

Your choices and rights

You can ask me to:

• tell you what information I have about you

• correct anything that's wrong

• delete your information

• stop sending you emails

Depending on where you live (for example California, the EU, the UK or New Zealand), you may have additional rights under local privacy law. I'll honour them. Email me at hello@workwithverve.com and I'll respond within 30 days, usually much sooner.

Cookies

The site uses cookies that Squarespace needs to work, plus analytics cookies that show which pages people visit. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work.

Keeping it safe

I use reputable, secure tools, strong passwords and two-factor authentication, and I limit who can see what (usually just me). No system is perfect, but I take care with what you trust me with.

Kids

This site and my services are for adults. I don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

Changes

If I update this policy, I'll change the date at the top. If it's a big change, I'll let my email list know.
